Role Description
A Professional Development Manager leads the development and implementation of a range of projects and services related to health informatics professional development in an organisation or across a professional community. This includes: workforce planning including addressing skill gaps, recruitment and retention issues; promoting professional recognition and registration; defining, commissioning, performance managing and evaluating education, training and continuing professional development programmes; facilitating the development of career development and progression; making accessible the body of knowledge of health informatics; interpreting and translating policy into practice; contributing to the development of policy and strategy related to health informatics professional development; encouraging collaborative working to deliver the professional development of the health informatics workforce; and promoting the health informatics profession in other professional and organisationa
